Raw Materials

Since its establishment, Banaş has been using certified steels within the standard norm analysis values as raw materials in the production of machine knives, cutting dies, cutting tools, strip band knives and precision machine parts.

Product portfolio is created according to customer requirements by using qualified stainless steels, cold and hot work tool steels, high alloy cold work tool steels, high speed steel, powder metallurgical tool steel, hardened special production band steels, carbide material, lower grade steels and qualified aluminum, polyurethane, fiber materials.

In the production of knives for use in the food, food packaging and medical sectors, qualified stainless steel material is used, which can achieve high performance by gaining high hardness. Stainless steels with high chromium content are also used in the production of perforated sheets, filters and strainers.

High carbon tool steels, high speed steels or carbide option materials are used in the production of machine knives and cutting tools in the paper, plastic, packaging, textile, medical, automotive and steel industries. Technically, product options can be created by applying hardness suitable for cutting or regional hardness.

In the field of cutting tools and machine knives, Carbide (Diamond) material, which can show a high degree of resistance to abrasion against the material it cuts, and can get very good performance against friction and serial work, is also within the scope of production. With the machine park that has carbide material technology, cutting edges can be sharpened in the desired form on carbide and screw holes can be drilled in carbide material.

Alternatives are also offered in coating issues. Industrial coating options are also available. Depending on the material to be cut or processed, industrial titanium or teflon coatings can be made that are resistant and suitable for adhesion, bluntness, abrasion and friction.
